Location and distances
villa is located in Nozarego in a dominant and hilly position with respect to the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure, an area that belongs to the Protected Marine Area of Portofino whose coastline shines in all its enchantment: wonderful views and small inlets with vegetation lapping the sea, submerged rocks that rapidly descend to great depths, favouring a wealth of microhabitats rarely found in the Mediterranean. The villa is easily reached by car, via the A12 motorway, 6 km from the Rapallo exit or 13 km from the Recco exit, or by train from the Santa Margherita Ligure train station, 2 km away, while the 877 line bus stop is only 150 metres away. Just 1 km from the villa is the Superesse supermarket in Santa Margherita Ligure and various shops. The splendid Bay of Paraggi, 3 km from the villa, precedes by 2 km your arrival in Portofino, a world-renowned resort synonymous with elegance and dolce vita. Not to be missed is the Bay of San Fruttuoso with the Abbey of the same name, a Benedictine monastery dating from the year 1000 which can only be reached by sea with the boats that leave from Santa Margherita or on foot along the paths that wind up from Portofino. The Cinque Terre (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore), old fishing villages, can also be reached by sea in about an hour by boat, but a good alternative is the train, while using the car is not recommended . The charming borgo of Camogli can also be reached, preferably by boat as an alternative to the 10 km journey by car. The splendid bay of San Michele di Pagana, 3 km away, and the refined, nostalgic and lively town of Rapallo, 5 km away, precede Chiavari with its elegant centre, interesting shops and beautiful beaches. The town of Sestri Levante is 29 km away with its peninsula dividing the "two seas" of the Baia del Silenzio and the Baia delle Favole. Just 32 km away is Genoa, "la Superba", the ancient Maritime Republic that dominated the Mediterranean Sea, reaching its maximum splendour in the 16th century; an unmissable destination for the visitor who loves history, art and culture or who simply wants to breathe in the atmosphere and scents of the caruggi (alleyways) of its historic centre near the old port or visit the Aquarium of Genoa, one of the largest in the world.
